This game blows. The controls suck the game sucks and the colors in the game almost made me puke. After playing one game I couldn’t handle the controls. What happened to sports games that were actually fun? I found myself foaming at the mouth in a fetal position in the corner of my bed because this game sucked so much. I would much rather staple the money I spent on this game to a homeless guy’s forehead. When they designed this game, did they want it to be good? Did they even try? I doubt it because this game blows and I blame all the people who wrote good reviews for this game. All of you owe me money because of you knuckeheads I wasted my money. Thanks morons.

The last review posted someone compared to a game they don’t even own, since they don’t have a PS3 as stated in the review I can only assume they are reading reviews of the “other” baseball game and not truly giving this a chance.

I like MLB 2K10, I like it a lot, sure there have been a few bugs here and there but in the video game world I don’t expect perfection, too many variables in baseball to get it all right. The pitching and batting are almost perfect though, they pitching gestures are a hell of a lot of fun to master. Total Control Pitching actually feels like I have some true say so in the placement of the ball, something point and click has never done for me. Total Control Batting is pretty tough to master, I am playing a franchise at the Pro difficulty level and I suck pretty much, I can pitch a shut out but can’t muster more than 5 hits a game, which I guess is pretty realistic. Fielding is a mixed bag, some of the animations are goofy, and maybe this is just me but I get a slight stutter on my screen after the ball is hit, none of this effects how much fun it is to play, but worth mentioning.

Graphics and presentation are top notch. Lighting effects are great and the movement of the sun during those late afternoon games looks great AND realistic. Player models for the superstars are great, but bench warmers have a pretty generic look to them. Ball physics have been spot on for me so far and the crowd looks OK, not cardboard cutouts, but generic enough to notice.

Commentary rocks, simply put some of the best you will hear in a baseball game.

People get all worked up about stuff like this, in NO WAY am I knocking The Show, from what I understand it is absolutely phenomenal, I chose MLB 2K10 because of Live, it’s that simple. I have a lot of friends on X-Box Live, I am always interacting with my friends, chatting etc…as soon as Sony gets off their a$$e$ and implements cross game chat my PS3 will get a lot more love.

I have no problems recommending this game to anyone, it’s a good simulation of baseball and most importantly they fixed most of the known issues and it’s a heck of a good time.

I have been an avid videogame sports fan and have loved most of the games out this year (Nhl 10, Fifa 10 etc) but I realize those are EA. With MLB 2k10 I haven’t noticed many glitches with outfielding like many have mentioned. The pitching is great this time around. I absolutely love it, I find I can pitch no hitters quite frequently and the pitching is fun. I play the Braves and pitching really works well with all the starting and relief pitchers different pitches. The commentary in the game is pretty good along with smooth movements of the players etc. I do agree with many that the graphics aren’t so great this time around and some of the players look downright weird! Poor bobby cox looks like mutant lol. I didn’t really care for the new ‘My player mode’, I find that it is quite unrealistic and sometimes you play a good game but get in trouble for a few minor issues, other times you play terrible and everything is ok and you’re told it’s ok and to hang in there next time will go better for you?? It isn’t a bad addition but being only able to play bits and parts just feels weird to me personally but I’m sure some will enjoy building a character etc. The worst issue I have with this game is the batting, it is absolutely AWFUL, I cannot get a run no matter what I do! I have adjusted the sliders to make it easy also and it still doesn’t help. The only time I can hit normal is when you do drills but in game? Nope. Some might say ‘You just stink at batting’, well, I’ve never had an issue with any baseball games before this one 2K, EA etc!!!! 2K just can’t seem to get it right. They fix one area (pitching) and another suffers (batting). I really wanted to love this game, I have been looking forward to it all year and was hoping it would be great but sadly it’s my last 2k sports game. Why couldn’t this be great like NHL 10 and Fifa 10 are?!??!?!! I really wish EA would make a great baseball game like they did for soccer and hockey! I am simply frustrated and keep trying to talk myself into playing it again but sadly It’s just not a good game because when you play baseball your hitting should be as good as your pitching.

Genrally have 6 game in rotation, with upgrades to 2 of the 6 each year. MLB 2K10 is now due in my upgrade rotation; I like it. Much more challenging than my prior version.
