I love this because my youngest was able to play this before he turned 3. He inherited his brother’s old DS after an upgrade to the DSi and wanted to play so badly, but all of the other games (even Diego and other games geared toward younger children) were too difficult so he lost interest. He likes this one because he doesn’t need to use the directional buttons. It’s mostly touch games which he handled just fine before he even turned 3. Didn’t realized there was a sequel. Definitely going to order that one as well.

My four year old LOVES this game, he would play it for hours if I let him! The menu was easy for him to understand. I showed him once how to navigate and he had it from there. The games change slightly the longer you play so it doesn’t get boring for the child (i.e. the pictures on the diffrences game are the same, but each go around the diffrences the child has to find changes). All in all I would recomend this to anyone with a small child.

I bought this for my 6 year old son with ADHD. He likes it since he can do all the games without me explaining them or having to read the instructions – which means he doesn’t get frustrated with it and doesn’t throw the game on the floor. It keeps him busy for a while (there are 12 mini-games) and it reinforces his hand-eye coordination, analitical thinking, concentration, and creativity . I didn’t give it 5 stars because I would have preferred it to be a TINY bit more challenging for a 6 year old (example, simple addition and the use of letters). I usually put the game away when I see he’s bored with it and take it out again 2 or 3 weeks later. This way it seems to be a new game all over again with all the perks of him winning every time – this is very imporant for children with ADHD, the satisfaction of knowing they can accomplish things (healthy motivation). Overall, it’s a great game for a 5 to 6 year old with disabilites or for a 4 year old without.

My boys (4yrs) and my daughter (6 yrs) love it. However, they quickly mastered many of the games and became bored with the repetition. I’d recommend it for young kids who are just starting out with gaming, need practive controling the stylus and manipulating the buttons, and need something far less challenging than Mario Bros to do so without frustration.
